Phragmipedium besseae is a species from Ecuador and Peru, it grows along river banks,I find this species grows well in small 1cm Rookwool Cubes, the flowers can vary for deep red to a burnt orange in colour, water quality is very important for this plant use rainwater or RO Water. Plants are approx 18 months from flowering.
